14K Gold Victorian Architectural Revival Turquoise & Pearl Ring

$425

A spectacular Architectural Revival ring, designed around a tiny milky white pearl on a gold rhombus. Around the rhombus are small square-cut turquoise gemstones, arranged symmetrically in the very balanced design that makes this a one-of-a-kind ring. The geometric design on this ring fits beautifully at center, and is framed by a band that is reminiscent of a decorated column from the Roman times. Gracefully hand-made this ring is exquisite in design and craftsmanship. The ring is in perfect condition with evidence of a minor repair on the interior of the band. A piece of gold was added, and this is visible but does not detract from the quality of this ring. Inside the band we also have an etched script that reads: F to M; this ring was most likely a gift, engraved with a special note on the inside. Marked 14K also on the interior of the band. Highly ornate, in and out, this ring is a superb example of the Grand Period in the Victorian era, where archeological discovery and a love of history was in style. Circa 1870. Weighs 3.2 grams and is made for a 5-3/4 ring size.
