This one-of-a-kind necklace was handmade by Master Jeweler Michael von Krenner. A bar of 14k rose gold was twisted to create a beautiful spiral, encrusted on one edge with single cut diamonds, and on another edge with tsavorite garnets. The stones are set into tiny holes that were drilled into the gold to house them, and the surrounding gold is decorated with milgrain work that adds incredible texture. The alternating edges of the bar were left smooth, and their shine catches the light as the necklace moves. The bar is connected on each end to a 14k rose gold chain; the end caps allow the bar to spin, giving the piece movement that enhances its beauty and sparkle.
Michael von Krenner has been a Master Goldsmith and Master Jeweler for over 40 years. All of his work is handmade and hand-engraved, completed under a microscope with astounding attention to detail. Much of Krenner’s work features nature and organic floral motifs, an homage to the wildlife of his childhood home in Hawaii, and unique designs inspired by Krenner’s travels around the world. This piece is reminiscent of a twisted vine.
The 14k rose gold bar is 1.25” x 1/8”. The chain is 17.25”. The necklace weighs 2.5 grams. The bar is marked as 14k and contains the MVK maker’s mark. The chain is marked on its clasp as 14k. There are 19 single cut 1mm diamonds, and 19 1mm tsavorite garnets.
