Edwardian 14K Gold and Diamond Jabot Sword Pendant
A simple and beautiful jabot sword pendant of 14 karat yellow gold, with a single cut diamond gemstone detail, which hangs from a delicate gold chain. The jabot sword was a popular symbol that decorated a lot of Victorian and Edwardian era jewelry. Fencing and sword fighting was very popular during this era; today, this minimalist piece of jewelry is an elegant symbol of empowerment and longevity. The thin sword pin part of the pendant is not perfectly straight but the item still hangs well and this does not detract from the piece. The thin gold pin measures 2-1/4 inches, the diamond is 2mm, the pendent is 3 inches total and the necklace is 17 inches in length. The necklace weighs a total of 2 grams. This piece dates to the turn of the century and is in great condition for its age. A wonderful unisex item, adding a bright and bold look to any outfit.
