Garnet, Diamond, Emerald and Sapphire Fly Ring

$495.00

This is a gorgeous ring featuring a small fly that has bright green cabochon emerald eyes, rose-cut diamond wings, a pink sapphire center and a deep wine red, pear-shaped rose-cut lower body. The fly is impeccable constructed, which is to be expects from the Victorian era craftsmen. In the language of Victorian era symbolism and sentimentality, the fly came to signify humility. The band of the ring is vintage, circa 1980, but the fly is an original antique from the 1880's, notably a favorite symbol of the 19th Century.

It is a ring size 5, and this band can be re-seized if necessary. The ring weighs 2.1 grams. The shimmering diamonds as well as the bright emeralds are approximately 1mm in size. The garnet is 3 x 4.5 mm and the chunky cushion cut pink sapphire at center is approximately 2 mm. The variety of gemstones on this fly make this original piece extra charming. The ring is marked on the interior with 14KT and the maker's mark.
This ring is a wonderful unisex item.
