Lucky Victorian 7 Gemstone Sapphire and Ruby Horseshoe Ring

$700.00
The Victorians are no strangers to the lucky number seven. This ring wearer carries not only a horseshoe symbol but the lucky number seven represented by four rubies and three white sapphires. This ring from the 1890s is a beautiful piece for its original design and also for all its craftsmanship. A raised horseshoe has a carriage of beads of gold; each individual gemstone has been fitted into a hand-chiseled square that is inset into the u-shape of the shoe. The gemstones are approximately 1.8mm in size. They are set with an alternating color patter- four of one side and three on the other. They look remarkably bright next to the smooth yellow gold, and because they fit flush with the surface of the horse shoe they add luminosity to the curve of the shoe. The horseshoe measures approximately 1/2 inch in size. The band is simple with a split band that supports the placement and balance of the lucky symbol.

The ring weighs 2.4 grams and is made for a size 6-1/2. It is not marked in the interior but has been acid-tested to 14 karats of yellow gold. A perfect talisman of good fortune for everyday wear!
