Pair of Victorian 14K Gold and Black Enamel Taille d'Epargne Wedding Bracelets
This is an incredible pair of 14kt yellow gold and black enamel Taille d’Epargne wedding bracelets from the Victorian era. Although this pair of bracelets are unmarked, I have tested them as 14kt gold. These bracelets accommodate up to a size 6 1/2” wrist.
The Victorians put great emphasis on weddings and traditions. During the Victorian era it was customary for a groom to present a bride with a pair of bracelets—one to be worn throughout the engagement, the other to be worn on her wedding day. These bracelets would be passed on from mother to daughter for generations. These days, Victorian wedding bracelets are a fantastic way to incorporate “something old” into your special day.
This pair of bracelets are incredibly detailed. Each is decorated with stunning bright cut work, gold etching, and black enamel. On one side of the bracelet is a darling black enamel floral motif, the other side bears flowering bamboo alongside a vase, and what appears to be a windowsill with a charming bird perched on it. The bracelets easily slip on and remain secure with their clasp and safety chain. Together these bracelets weigh approximately 42.00 grams.
This stunning pair of bracelets would make the perfect wedding gift or fabulous addition to your antique jewelry collection!
