Russian Pre-Revolutionary 14K Gold Diamond Bar Pin

$850.00

This diamond encrusted bar pin dates to 1900’s pre-revolutionary Russia. The center Old European Cut diamond is bezel set with beautiful milgrain work around it. Set in a larger circle element, the diamond is surrounded by cut outs in the shape of a flower with five Rose Cut diamonds bead set into the corners of its petals. This central element is flanked by Rose Cut and Single Cut diamonds along the bar and the pin is topped with a crown motif that brings a regal quality to the piece. The crown contains Rose Cut and Single Cut diamonds and elegant milgrain that compliments the intricately designed motifs along the pin.

In classic Victorian style, the pin has a silver front and 14k gold back. The pin is marked with the Russian Kokoshnik mark, 56 for 14k gold, and the initials NK or AK.

The center diamond is a natural antique Old European Cut. It measures 4.5 mm and is SI1 in clarity and G-H in color. The rest of the diamonds are bright and lively, natural antique Rose Cut and Single Cut diamonds. The pin contains 3/4 carat of diamonds. The pin is 2 1/2” x 1/2” and weighs 4.4 grams.

Antique bar pins like this one are a great way to elevate a blazer and accessorize in a classic, elegant way.
