Victorian Knife Edge Banded Agate 10K Gold Ring

This 10k gold Victorian ring features a marquise-shaped banded agate with a crisp knife edge point. The translucent agate features creamy colors, brown hues, and a fine line of orange that cuts across it. It is a long, thin stone that extends down the finger for a graceful, elegant look.  The stone is fitted onto a simple band with a curved motif that compliments the the boat-like shape of the stone. The agate is mesmerizing to look at, with a milky translucence that reveals colors and depth when looked at from various angles. The stone is from the Great Northwest, and the ring is circa the 1890’s. 

The ring is unmarked but acid tests as 10k gold. The agate measures 1 1/2” x 1/4” and the ring weighs 4.5 grams. A wonderful antique with a contemporary look, this makes a great unisex ring. 

Ring size 5 and could easily be resized.
